Paddlers Inn - Guides Suite | Rustic | Charming

Such a cozy place to stay! Great view of a mountain right outside your door, very quiet and we got to enjoy watching deer and sheep just up the road! I would highly recommend booking at Paddlers Inn!

Pros: Clean, pets allowed (and right next to decent off-leash dog run), communication with management on check-in, check-out, and during our stay was very responsive. The price was also reasonable.Cons: - The listing says "suite", even though they have it categorized as a "house" on here. It is not a detached cabin, but 1 of 3 suites.- The pics of the lake in the listing are misleading - I wouldn't say it's walkable, and the beach in the pics is user-pay - so if there's 3 or more of you, expect to pay 15/day for access. A local was surprised our place didn't provide a pass for the beach, as apparently many other rentals do. My question to management about this was ignored.- The kitchen is likely not legal, as there is no hood fan for the cooktop. This means anything you cook will smoke up the place and set off the fire alarm. Yes, this happened twice to us, and happened to others as well, evidenced by the third of a trio of art pieces on the wall missing, which is precisely where your dish towel goes when fanning the alarm.- There is no oven, no BBQ, and no wood or roasting sticks for the communal firepit. BYO.- There are no windows except for the front entrance and the bedroom, making it a dark place to be during the day, yet the blinds aren't great so it's also not dark enough to sleep, unless you get up with the sun.So if you're a small family with dogs who get up with the sun, cook simply, and spend all your time outdoors, you'll probably love this place.

The guide's suite was perfect for my dad and I while we worked in canal flats. The space was clean and functional and had everything we needed.
